This section contains two areas: a) the Recommended Schedule for the Eagle Service Project, and b) a Documents area with Eagle-specific downloads.
Recommended Schedule For Eagle Service Project
1. The clock starts running the day you become a Life Scout !!!
2. One Month Later – Pick a Project - write up idea, get benefactor to sign. Hint: Use www.google.com for Eagle Service Project examples.
3. ONE MONTH LATER – Finish written draft of project, discuss with Life-to-Eagle advisors, get approval to present to Scoutmaster (SM).
4. WITHIN TWO WEEKS --- Get approval of SM
5. UP TO ONE MONTH --- Arrange to present project and document to the troop committee.
6. UP TO ONE MONTH --- At next monthly Roundtable present to the District Advancement chair (Mr. Mueller).
7. WITHIN NEXT SIX WEEKS --- Complete pre-project activities, logistics, team building, material acquisition, obtain the necessary resources.
8. WITHIN NEXT MONTH --- Execute project and write up results.
9. WITHIN NEXT TWO WEEKS --- Get approvals of benefactor and Scoutmaster.
10. WITHIN NEXT SIX WEEKS --- Complete advancement records, check, get reference letters, confirm or complete leadership requirement. Submit your application to the SM and to the Troop Committee chair.
